it may be a bit bumpy at times for some, but it hits the sweet spot at about the halfway point and its DOPE!!
they really captured the mythology of those days; it was no myth tho it was all real!

Watching the 1st ep. now. Clothes, fros look like the 70's. But slang wise, this doesn't seem they don't seem to be talking 70's "jive". Same thing with his poem. It doesn't have a 70's feel either. Sounds like some Spoken Word instead of 70's poetry. BUt it's nothing that don't make me wanna watch more eps. Glad to see my man from Mister and Pete on here though. Feel sorry for Jaden. Having to wear men clothes all day must be rough on him.

Breh, this 1st ep. is like the length of the last episode of a Netflix series. Kinda weird start off long. Shaolin is outacting everybody. Hopefully, he don't end up get killed
This shyt is fukking incredible.
First episode was dope, but a little uneven. The kid who plays Zeke and the actor who plays Shaolin have great chemistry. You can believe their alliance becomes a friendship and brotherhood. The rest of the series evens out as the characters are allowed to breathe and add life to their portrayals. The soundtrack is phenomanal, the lyrics as written by Nas, are top notch poetry.
They hit a home run with this series
