I think its very charming so far - about halfway through episode 1
the acting at times is not 'great' but its not a dealbreaker by any means.
and like you said i'm totally down to see this many people of color in lead roles.

Watched the first episode, uh this is is all over the place.
Hip Hop deserves this tho, they put a lot of money into telling the origin that's really dope.I want it to have multiple seasons for that reason only. Plus the god is producing.
Gotta support.
- Costumes and set design are awesome
- Music is awesome although overused
- The acting is off and on, mostly off tho
- The tone is weird, it's too over the top at some parts for me especially the end
