Looks interesting Netflix really starting to diversify a bit with their original content. Glad to see Shamiek from Dope to get more roles he was easily the highlight from that movie.

Yeah but The Get Down's description is saying they gonna do Hip Hop, Punk and Disco and I believe Vinyl is planning to do the same. Maybe this is more Hip Hop and that Disco but their are obvious similarities.

uhh it looks sleek and cool but imma be honest im not too big on musicals so that part has me hesitant.....kinda makes me feel like this'll be the black/latin version of westside story

Grandmaster Flash is a producer/adviser, plus I will say this. Baz's involvement means the budget is huge. Also Shawn Ryan is an exec Producer on this project as well. So it ensures it should be quality. Netflix is killing it.

Cool. I was wondering if they got flash in on this. I was looking through the credits looking for names, but didn't see any. You got a link on his involvement?
