I just came here to say Starfield got snubbed, super Mario wonder is a 2d side scroller, those games and Indy games should never be in game of the year categories against massive open world games. I’d rather that put in cyberpunk over that.

Nintendo is graded on a curved, and this is coming from someone who own a switch and doesn’t own a Xbox

Starfield has an 83 on metacritic, there are 16 games nominated this year with better critical reception. So even if mario wonder didn’t make it in theres like a dozen more games that deserve the spot over starfield.

Not 76, all their single player games.

This just kind of proves they are being left in the dust by the rest of the industry. They gotta update the way they make games by the time ES6 comes out

Not sure why people so against RE4 being nominated, remake or not it’s still an amazing game that came out this year, being a remake shouldn’t disqualify it

Because it's ahead of better games

RE4 isnt even the best game capcom released this year, that was Street Fighter 6, but it wasn't nominated because it's a fighting game.

People like to pretend it’s easy to completely remake a game, while also updating the gameplay, level design, graphics, sound, voice acting, animations, expanding the story, etc.

People aren’t saying that tho, their saying just because it’s a remake it shouldn’t be there period

But ref your post, It isn’t imo, only games better this year are BG3 & SM2, I don’t have a Nintendo so can’t speak for Zelda or Mario
