The Janet stuff makes more sense now. Will basically felt this show was his way out of Philly. I think he went bankrupt already and his music career had stalled so the acting had to work out. He perceived Janet’s off the set issues as being harmful to the show, and thus to him, so he got her off. The rest of the cast either felt the same way not wanting their bread messed up if the show got canceled or they secretly liked Janet but was too scared to speak out against Will. Either I understand both sides :manny: Janet made sense. Calling a black woman in Hollywood difficult is the kiss of death. She was never going to be a big star but there’s no reason why she shouldn’t have been on tv the last two decades or at least in some black movies or hallmark type movies. She got fukked over. If I was Will, I’d get her set up with some roles if she still wanted to act and I’d throw her a few million :manny:

This was great. It was nice seeing the behind the scenes footage especially the readings, and before the takes as well as some of the stories

I didn't expect it to be as emotional as it was, but as soon as Ashley said "James used to sit right there" :mjcry: and the segment on Uncle Phil :sadbron:

It was also nice to finally see Janet and Will heal and hear each other out. When Janet mentioned that calling a black actress "difficult" in the early 90s, it was almost impossible to come back from. I also never knew about the problems at home she dealt with during season 3. I wish they would've shown more scenes of her talking and reuniting with the rest of the cast.

Also for everyone wondering where Carlton was during the Janet scene:

Many fans watching the special noticed Ribeiro was not seen at all once Hubert showed up to set and believed it was a deliberate choice on his behalf to avoid the actress.

"Don't think I didn't notice that Alfonzo [sic] left the set once Janet came on. I guess all old wounds haven't healed yet," wrote one viewer, in a comment Hubert saw and responded to on Twitter.

"Don't assume, he was working and I wasn't there," she replied. "Let it go sweetie, we have."

Appearing on "The Tamron Hall Show" earlier this week -- before anyone knew the extent of Hubert's appearance on the reunion -- Alfonso reportedly said he didn't see her because he had to film "America's Funniest Home Videos."

Just finished watching. Great reunion special. That was beautiful. Good to see the cast reminiscing about the old times. One of my favorite childhood sitcoms that gave me lots of laughs and was a big part of my childhood. Was good to see the old Aunt Viv and the moments about Uncle Phil. Glad they did this. Definitely got emotional a few times watching. :mjcry:

Great reunion special. Damn I feel old :mjcry: The whole James Avery segment and the taping of the last episode. shyt was beautiful to watch. One of the best shows ever.

Hope we can see other black show reunions like this, but I highly doubt it.
I know Family Matters did some small ass reunion for TVOne or some channel for cast interview.

Definitely wasn’t like this one tho
