Imagin morning commute from 25 min to almost 2 hours now

I used to go underway with Navy ships (non nuclear battleships) for my old gig and we did lose ships power every now and then. I never thought about how dangerous that could be if it happened in a port area.

I’m sure the investigation will show the cause to be to an accidental power loss or something, but it makes one wonder as we move closer towards automated everything…how much at risk are we of allowing a hacker to access a large cargo ship’s control system to cause havoc?

that's horrible. i read rescue teams were able to find two drivers so far. hopefully they can find more soon.

seems like the ship lost power but these things usually have backup generators to help them navigate and keep the ship on course. first planes now ships are failing
