There's still gonna be a time and place for theaters, but they should've changed their ways a few years ago. It's nuts that a bottle of water and a small popcorn hits you for another $15 dollars outside of the ticket cost. I can't imagine how much a movie trip would hit the pockets of parents with a kid or two. They been needed to switch their whole shyt up now and do like the Alamo Drafthouse where it's actual good food and servers, there's a proper bar you can drink at and chill outside of the movies, and it's more like a dinner theatre combined with a lounge/bar than just straight movies and kicking people out. They basically got the year of covid to switch up their entire shyt to work for the new age or they're actually done.


Quiet Place and Get Out were the last two times I enjoyed the movie theater because it was all adults.

iPic theaters are the root of the lounge experience at theaters & everyone loved it so much other theaters had to adapt in order to keep the lights on. For the last 5 years that’s what it’s been. Being able to literally lounge. I’ve been to the show once (maybe a few more)in the last five year where they had regular movie style seating & that was to see Baywatch

the movie theater itself has been dying for some time now because of the constant raise of admission & having to rely solely on the sale of popcorn, candy, and pop. But when you paying more than $10 for a ticket ain’t no way in hell the average person ain’t sneaking something in.

and the staff ain’t looking cause what do they care when they making minimum wage to tell people not to sneak in snacks. I’ve walked into the show so many times like this

And I’ve NEVER been stopped. I used to have a big ass purse and it was literally FOR going to the show . Movie theaters claimed they have to right to check your bag or purse—-
Lies. I would be to Walgreens & Dollar Tree before I go to the show like:

now don’t get me wrong, I threw it away... sometimes id still go to the con session stand and get a nacho for $7.50 or a $8 pretzel
