It's sad seeing so many celebrating the possible death of cinema. I get it - movies are expensive, etc. but I just don't see what is so :blessed: about it. :francis:
I’m cheering cause honestly I haven’t really enjoyed the movie theater experience fully in avoid two years. It’s knowing in the back of my mind and possibly in the back of the seat there could be a damn rodent crawling around. Now that a number of theaters have adapted their seating to recliners it’s easier for rodents to hide. I couldn’t fully enjoy Endgame going to the show knowing that AMC had a marathon of it and knowing the staff wasn’t doing the best job between shows to clean up. (Or if they really ever do)

it’s not really that big of a deal to others but I don’t want a whole ass :hamster: chilling while I’m trying to figure out whodunnit

This deal doesn't mean anything if other theater chains won't agree to it. As long as Regal, Cinemark and all the others keep the 90 day window agreement, then Universal won't be allowed to take a movie to VOD in 17 days.

This is a huge win for all film enthusiasts that love day 1 theater viewings but also people who love that at home viewing experience.

Covid 19 killed it but streaming will make sure it stays dead.

I said it once and I'll say it again, the future fukkin sucks. :francis:

Take me back to good old days where Trump wasn't President and you could go to a fukking movie!

Because of covid is it impossible for people to become movie stars in the future?

No need to walk out anymore :blessed:
Bout to walk out the living room instead. :troll:

AMC has it's own streaming service tho cuz on the app it shows that theatres are closed but let's you rent on demand movies. Wonder if they stepping up their streaming game and using this to help grow the business. But then now that I think about it, universal has peacock now so I don't know if amc can stream. Unless the 17 day window is for both theatre and streaming? Wonder how much most movies make two and a half weeks after release anyways.

I mean most of my theaters have excellent/good B.O.H. scores. As a matter of fact, the Pinnacle displays their scores at the front of the theater, but there's a no guarantee that a rat or a bug hasn't got into the theater at some point. I read that most buildings and even homes have had at least one rodent running around that you don't know about. It's just something that happens and also something that I don't really try to think about. :manny:
