Very emotional finale, on par with the season. Not a lot of laughs, but a lot of feels :mjcry:

The 21 stamp salute :mjlol:
Satan's niece:mjlol:
Jean Ralphio:russ:

Failure:dead:

Garry:mjcry: He deserved it all.

I'm gonna miss this show. On to Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

So Leslie becomes President. Anyone else catch the secret service agents at Garry's funeral?

They didn't really specify whether it was Ben or Leslie
I think it was Leslie, since she was the one that became Governor. Also, it just makes more sense for her to become President since she's the star of the show and that was her long term goal.

I wish they showed Ben open his Calzone-Zone franchise though.

Update: Here's the interview about Leslie being President...

MYSTERY #1: Did Leslie Knope become President of the United States? Is that why there were Secret Service agents at Garry's funeral?
THE ANSWER:
You get to decide. "We declared a lot of things explicitly about what happens to all the characters," Mike Schur tells me. "And I wanted there to be one point of real ambiguity. I declared it in the writers' room as the 'David Chase end of TheSopranos moment.' Lower stakes probably, but I just wanted there to be one thing where people would look at the information and then suss it out in their own minds what they think happened. And so I told the gentleman [at the funeral] who said, ‘It's time to go'…I said, 'You're not addressing either of them individually.'"

"He doesn't say Madame President. He doesn't say senator. He doesn't say Mr. Secretary. He just says ‘It's time to go' and it's unclear who he's talking to and he appears to be a Secret Service agent, but he also could be a limo driver. I wanted it to be ambiguous and I wanted there to be a way that fans of the show and people who were invested in those characters could make up in their own minds what they think happened. You don't have to say everything. "

Yeah, agree with all the sentiments posted so far. They did a great job in wrapping up the series and really giving everyone a happy ending :mjcry:. Such a great cast of positive characters, that were not only funny but genuinely cared for each other, which made you as a viewer care for them. The flash forward was a good device to use and it was nice they did it for some of the supporting characters.

Jean Ralphio in the future faking his death and then getting revealed at his own funeral because of his singing :russ:

Jerry always beat the butt of jokes, but becoming the Mayor forever and his wife still looking the same in old age :whew:

The way Ron just left his building company and Leslie finding the perfect job for him. The look of satisfaction as he was paddling in that canoe :to:.

Have to say Leslie and Ben were one of the best TV couples ever, in the way they always had each others back. When Ben conceded running for Governor to let his wife fulfill her:obama: childhood dream. I think it is most likely she was the one who became President as well. I never get tired of seeing Leslie and her great love for Anne. In the words of Chris- This was literally one of my favorite shows ever :salute:

I watched the whole cast on late night and you could tell how they genuinely care for each other and will miss working together. The closing moments had April and Jerry making out hardcore as well :bryan:

What ever happened to Leslie's mom? She was in the first few seasons a lot and then disappeared. And she worked right down the hall from the Parks department. It would have been nice to see her show a proud mother moment at one of Leslie's many accomplishments in the last 2 seasons.

this was such a great finale, it almost made me tear up:mjcry:

everyone got the ending they deserved, but damn I will miss this show:to:

The funniest moment was somehow Ron shaking the hand of Andy and Aprils baby and formally introducing himself:deadmanny:
