Harris Wittels, a co-executive producer of NBC'sParks and Recreation, died Thursday.
Police found Wittels to be unresponsive at his Los Angeles home when they responded at noon to a call regarding a possible drug overdose, said Officer Jeffrey Dohlen of the Los Angeles Police Department. A work assistant discovered the 30-year-old Wittels, police said.
In addition to his TV work, Wittels is credited with coining the popular term humblebrag, a word defined on Amazon.com as brags that are "ever-so-thinly disguised as transparent humility." He wrote a 2012 book, Humblebrag: The Art of False Modesty, based on a Twitter feed dedicated to such boastings..
Besides Parks, Wittels' other writing credits include Eastbound & Down and The Sarah Silverman Program.
Parks and Recreation, which stars Amy Poehler, ends its seven-season run on Tuesday.
Friends mourned the loss of Wittels via Twitter, with Silverman expressing her sorrow.

They should have a PSA on Drug Abuse right after that. The finale will have a closing tribute for Harris Wittels
