@Ed MOTHEREFFING G I think Age of Ultron will probably end up passing Furious 7 in the long run but it's important to note (as you did) that Furious 7 is not available in IMAX/3D in North America and I respect that they didn't because all 3D is pretty much a bullshyt cash grab. Only specific films are filmed in 3D.

"Avengers" is definitely bigger here in the U.S. for sure but intentionally it's looking like "Furious" is moving to take the crown. This also sh!ts on the narrative that international audiences don't want to see Black, Asians and other races in film. Paul Walker is basically the only major white character lead in the franchise. Everyone else is non-white. Hollywood can't keep spinning these lies about international audiences. They just like to be entertained regardless of what race is staring.

Breh, I get what you're saying but I can't co-sign that logic. I don't believe people are "voting" as you put it. Look at the Transformers series. I can't find more than a handful of people who don't believe it's mostly garbage but this is what happens when kids see cool looking robots on their television screen. They run to mommy or daddy and tell them they want to see it. So now instead of one or two people going to see it it's the whole family. That's how all of this works. Plus, Transformers is always doing little shyt like 3D or IMAX for an even bigger bump. I can't knock Michael Bay's hustle and I can't blame them for milking the public for every dollar they can but do I really think it has anything to do with quality? No.

I never said anything about quality. Just that studios push out movies based on the money they make. The Transformers movies are shytty, but they make lots of money. Therefore, as long as they keep making the money they make, Transformer's creative direction is not gonna change, and Michael Bay is still gonna direction. Studios aren't gonna change anything that continues to make them a lot of money.
