How? I'm comparing Bryan to Seth/Roman, one was jobbed out in 18 seconds at Wrestlemania while the other two were in the most protected group of the last decade, a group that went over Cena and Taker clean and interacted with the Rock. Roman broke the record for most rumble eliminations and was the runner up before he was a main eventer.

It's clear Bryan had a completely different trajectory than them, they were always protected while Bryan was kept at a certain level

Bryan is the most pushed superstar of the past 5 years not named Cena (edit: note I'm not including part timers here). They didn't WANT to but they eventually put the machine behind him and everything they've done since was all about him. Rollins didn't get ANY high profile wins on his own and he was overshadowed by the Authority his whole run. Reigns is pushed and protected hard but there's no substance to him and this run screams "well we don't have anybody else left"

Was the machine behind him before or after Daniel Wyatt?

I'd say before since he beat Cena clean at SSlam 13 and had the whole show focused on him getting his belt back. I'll be the first to admit a lot of his stuff wasn't logical (not being in WM XXX in the first place) and downright frustrating (having the authority involved) though.

It was focused on him trying to beat the Authority but that storyline ended when HBK super kicked him at hell in a cell. That was the blow off. Shawn felt so bad about how Bryan was being treated he came back and took the Yes Lock later. That's when Big Show faced Randy and Bryan started feuding with Bray. When he became Daniel Wyatt, he was taken off the Mania card altogether and he was gonna be in Bray corner against Cena at mania complete with Cena cutting "doggone it, people like you" promos, and Bryan setting free from Bray was his mania moment. Punk quitting and the huge yes chant at the Michigan State game happened at the same time and Hunter and Steph convinced Vince on the jet to change course.

I didn't say it was one sustained push for two years though. I only said that's when it started. The second push in the two months before Maina XXX was one of the biggest ones ever culminating with him beating 3/4 if the Authority.

To the bolded, how many plans over the years have changed due to circumstances that occurred putting people in the right place? I've never understood the "it was gonna be like this but plans changed" arguments when it's known that Vince sometimes changes his mind on the day of the show. I can only judge what actually happened on the screen.

My whole point was that there is not a full timer in the past 5 years who had a bigger push than Bryan (not named Cena). The gap is wide, but he's definitely number 2. The number 3 (Punk) had so much more shyt against him, and the ones after that (Romans, Rollns and the like ) were never pushed on the level of 1-3.

Roman Reigns took one pin fall in his 2.5 years on the roster, beat CM Punk clean in basically his first singles match, made the last 2 in his first rumble, and you know the rest. He's been invincible and booked strong from day 1 and been booked stronger than Cena since fall 2012

*FLASHBACK... IWC, circa 1988*

Man, Randy Savage should just leave WWF and go to AWA where he'll be appreciated and booked properly.

I mean gosh, look at how theyve treated the guy. He debuts, and instead of putting him with Heenan or Jimmy Hart, REAL managers, they saddle him with a WOMAN who only got the job cause she's his wife in real life.

Then, he wins the IC title from Santana, but they dont let him win it at WrestleMania 2! :mindblown:

Then he's feuding with George Steele, a comedy wrestler! Devaluing the IC title and Savage at the same time! :mindblown:

Then they let Hulk Hogan beat him on TV! Why?!?! WHY??? :sadcam:

Then he steals the show at Mania III with Steamboat, and for all that, they have the HONKY TONK MAN claiming he's the greatest IC champ ever! Way to bury Savage, Vince :sadbron:

Next thing you know, a bunch of screwy finishes against Honky Tonk. :beli: Are we really supposed to believe he can't just beat Honky Tonk?

But OK, fine... he wrestles 4 guys at Mania IV and wins the WWF title, but not without Hulk Hogan! Why couldn't they have just had Savage beat up DiBIase, Andre, and Virgil by himself? THAT's how you book! :damn:

And now, this new SummerSlam event comes... and he's gonna be teaming with HOGAN! What the fukk, man! :mindblown:

I guess next they'll have him wrestling Hogan at next year's WrestleMania! fukk WWF, dude! It's probably that fakkit Pat Patterson behind all this! He's mad because Savage was a more loved IC champion than he ever was! The only reason he's champ now is cause Hogan wants to go and do a movie! Gonna talk more about this in the Prime Time thread next Monday! :sadbron:

***This is what it sounds like when people talk about CM PUNK and DANIEL BRYAN being treated like shyt***

He was kept all the way away from Cena, had Rocky try to come out and get him some cheers by proxy to help him win the RR, got squashed last WM by Brock prior to the Seth cash-in, and can't even headline his own road to WM alone (last year with the Bryan fiasco and this year with Dean/Brock). He is hella protected and pushed, but not on the level of beating legends, part timers and Cena.

It's the microwave/entitled nature of fans these days. If a guy doesn't get pushed straight to the top IMMEDIATELY with an undefeated streak it doesn't count.

He went toe to toe with Brock with Seth coming in for the chickenshyt win. Roman then pinned Seth clean numerous times afterwards. Roman is going to beat HHH clean at Mania and have the belt for a long time. WWE pulled out all of the tricks to get him cheered because he's their guy, a normal pushed baby face getting booed would have his ass sent down the card. You know that. Roman has been kept away from Cena because that's the Cena turn/Mania match. That's the end game, I'm sure you watched wrestling long enough to know this

Beating Seth Rollins is not a major accomplishment when he was number 3 in the Authority as champion :francis:

Your other points are based on future events that haven't happened yet (HHH win) or may never happen. (Cena's unlikely heel turn being wasted on Roman). Tell me more :leostare:

Sheamus and HHH literally only won the belts because they are guys that they believe will get Roman cheered.

Cena has 15 championships. One away from WWE record, Roman being long term champ, Cena going on 40 years old. Desperation. Storyline writes itself. He won't be around that much longer full time so it'll happen just like Taker streak ending happened
