The fact that Jack Swagger debuted in AEW shows how lame they are

That's because TNA went out of their way to sign every WWE castoffs they could and proceeded to book them in the dumbest ways possible (except Christian and Angle).

AEW, which just had their first show 12 hours ago mind you, signs Shawn Spears and Jake Hager for mid card feuds and makes them actually look like something.

the bolded is untrue. unless youre referring to Hogan's TNA, which I didn't watch and it doesn't count.

and shawn spears is trash compared to the guys TNA picked up.

Hager isn't in a midcard feud. he just beatdown the faces of the company.

The fact that he received a pop when he couldn't get a cough out of the WWE crowd shows how fickle the wrestling fanbase is. Let's not act like he was good now that he's in the competition.

I didn't watch too much of his WWE run, but from what I saw, he was a watered-down version of early/goofy kurt angle.

in MLW his brief stint in MLW, he was bad ass grappler. and he kept it going in LU while leaning more towards being borderline psychotic with it. plus hes in MMA. and also this is an overall different crowd than a WWE show.

but I will say this, that crowd would've marked out for anybody last night.

Like where the fukk were all of you when he was in WWE? No one was a fan then. None of you bought his merch, no one was posting about how much they liked his in ring work?

And again to me, this is not even about Swagger. He is a servicable hand. But to debut him at the end of your very first show in such a prominent role is just dumb.

I think that's what you're missing. No one is marking out for the guy. No one is saying put the belt on him. It's just not everyone is taking issue with him potentially being booked in a midcard feud with Goldust. The thing about wrestling is optics are everything and his booking albeit brief was VERY strong. If Cody and Moxley becoming better after leaving the E has shown anything its give dudes a little freedom and you never know what you get.

Jack Swagger is a fine worker but a very dull one. His monster push in LU killed my interest in the show. Lucha based promotion where an amateur style guy is blowing through the Luchadores and winning matches with an ankle lock. I suspect the same will happen in AEW he'll get a strong push and y'all will hate every minute of it.

His attack was largely on Cody and Dustin. Cody is going against Jericho that and Omega/Mox is your main events. Hager will likely be paired with Dustin. That's not a main feud. It's an offshoot of one and Hager being provided as Jericho's muscle.

Ken Anderson, Rhino, Matt Morgan, Booker T, Raven, Scott Steiner. That's 6 guys who came from WWE who were booked to do nothing of relative note in the grand scheme of things in TNA. Booker had his commentary and Steiner had the math promo. That's IT. And that's just off the top of the dome

shyt Lex Luger wasn't that hot nh in the wwf before he rejoined wcw and became an even bigger star afterwards becoming one of they're flagship guys.

And Swagger is twice the wrestler Lex ever was

To make it clear I'm not trying to shyt on Lex at all but we gotta wait and see how Swagger does under a new company with a different system than what the E runs.

I can understand why people would beon him being a big surprise but you have to build up your talent and make them feel like a big deal.

none of these guys are WWE stars except morgan & Anderson.
and TNA did a better job with both of them.

as for the others who were never WWE guys to begin with, they brought back that ECW rhino and gave him a 2-second run with the belt.
outside of booker not getting the belt, he did headline and his stuff in TNA was great.
