The fact remains, women have no good reason to wear weaves.

natural = no harmful chemicals such as lye, no fake hair, no foreign human hair. its not rocket science, friend
That's your definition, but it's not the true definition of natural

whats arbitrary about wanting your women to appreciate their natural features? only on coli would simp nikkas like you call dudes c00ns for tellin black women to ditch the hair hats. i hope yall dont have daughters.
Because you don't want them to have their "natural" features. You want them to live up to what you've deemed as natural and attractive, which is an arbitrary standard influenced by western culture, just as much as weaves/relaxers.

And saying "ditch the hair hat" is a far cry from saying "all black women with weave hate themselves"

I wouldn't know, I don't pretend to know how everyone feels about themselves by the hairstyle they wear. For me, weave means nothing...at all. It doesn't change how I feel about my hair, I don't like it better than my hair. I don't prefer white hair over my hair or whatever yall try to say. It's just a hairstyle for me. I like straight hair and curly/kinky/coily hair, I use to straighten my hair but I don't like putting heat on my hair, so when I want straight hair I get weave that looks like my hair when it's straight. Then when I'm over the straight hair...I wear my natural hair. :yeshrug: It's really not as deep as you guys try to make it.

The hair you use doesn't look like your hair thugh.

Let me know when white women start getting curly and coarse hair.

I'm not the one in denial. I cut off all my permed hair when I was 16 so my hair could be natural. Spent countless hours/days watching YouTube videos so I could find hairstyles that work for my natural hair (braidouts are the best for me) found natural hair products that work for my natural hair and avoid putting heat on my hair because it will damage my natural hair. Only a person that hates their hair would do that, right?
...and you gave up.

White women wear weaves and Asian women put both relaxers and texturizers in their hair.

In reality the average woman does not look like the western idea of beauty regardless of race. They all make alterations to themselves in order to look like that idea of Beauty.

...which looks like THEIR hair... :snoop:

It actually does. lol that's why I get it. Curly weave when it's straightened looks exactly like my hair when it's straightened.

Why do white women have to get curly and coarse hair? Oh, so wearing weave that's different from your natural hair texture will only be ok if white women do it too? :ohhh:

There's no good reason to wear baseball hats or to dye your hair a different colour or to wear it curly vs straight or to rock the latest fashions...but, it's all preference. I don't think it's self hate, personally. I had extensions in my hair a few years back for like 4 months...and my real hair's long af as you can see...I just wanted to try it and see what it would look like. Ended up hating it - my head was always itchy and the hair was so heavy, but now I know for myself it's not for me. If I ended up liking it, I'd do it again *shrug*
...wearing a hat? :what:

i'm offended that comparison even came out of your fukking mouth.

80%of ya'll use the same logic, if not most of you would drive cars designed by black men, wear clothes designed by black men, wear watches designed in black men, visit and travel to countries run by black men, aspire to live in neighborhoods/nations control by black men, follow your own standard of beauty ... until then we are in the same boat
Nice.

I thought this topic was about hair weave though. The most innate aspect of one's intrinsic genetic appearance.

But thats cool. Lets talk about clothes and material objects.

Stop deflecting to change the topic you c00n.

Thats the point.

You're taking something they don't even thinka bout making and can't help and they're selling it to you under the guise of the standards of "beauty" and "perfection"

How did we not? Did you hear Black women ridiculing Black men's looks from the top of the hair to the bottoms of their feet the way you see Black men doing Black women today?

Black women have been relaxing their hair. Black men transitioned to other types of styles and Black women did not. However Black men weren't met with vitriol meant to attack their self esteem and self image.

You are putting Black men who want to appear more white is such a small box of course it will appear "less common". But it isn't. Essentially you are saying in order for it to be self hate you have to dye your hair in some way (which no race of men really does) or attach extensions to their hair (which again no race of men would ever need to do). Basically y'all are making it to so that the only thing that applies to self hate are things women mostly would do with their hair, leaving Black men exempt from criticism they should be getting just as frequently.

Waves is Black men changing the natural curl pattern of their kinky hair to appear to be more diluted ethnically. If that isn't a reflection of self hate I don't know what is.
Yes I did hear about black women distaste of black males with natural hair during those times, if you wanna pretend like some doesnt exist then thats on you.

Black women went through the same time of black power just like the black men. Where black females with afros was popular and such. You thought black males only did it? :snoop:

Well I look around and dont see much black males with blond hair. Even among celebs of today it isnt popular as this blond weave fad is. I am not saying that they are not wrong but there will always be self hating males out there and the aim is to keep it minimal which is what Im hoping happens here among black females because blond hair is actually getting popular and not minimal.

Well you could see waves as self hate if you want and Id agree that it can be a case of self hate but women arent just putting grease in their hair so the comparison is off.

We are telling you that you look better natural. Why are you fighting us?

I'm sorry but when it comes to the Coli, I would suggest any Black women who doesn't want to be emotionally/mentally abused to do the exact OPPOSITE of everything y'all say y'all like on here so she can avoid attracting men who will assault her self esteem.

However because I know good men irl do appreciate Black women's natural beauty I do encourage all my sistas to get off the relaxers, etc. when they can. Its more about calling out the hypocrisy of the BW-hater brigade that likes to point out every self hate characteristic of BW while ignoring and even defending Black men's. I can't get over Black men thinking this is natural for Black women

and this is natural for Black men
