you know what I meant.......that the ancient egyptians and ancient west africans shared a common ancestor just like they shared an ancestor with east africans

It is a small and diminishing number of people. Thats a good way of looking at it. We're still probably downplaying the Europeans, Asians, and Indians who have similar thoughts about the origin of mankind or any country where they have a complexion based caste system.
