Okay this doesn't mean shyt. Please keep in mind that Obama's campaign mostly operates on the ground, they do a lot of canvassing, phone-banking etc whereas Romney's campaign doesn't or if they do it's very minimal so yes the Dems have registered more people but I volunteer with FL OFA and have registered several voters who have said to my face they're voting for Romney and I can't turn them away.

and they signed up as a demcract :childplease:

keep in mind 2.4million new sign up over rethugiclans who signed up FOR DEMOCRACT :lolbron:

Charlotte by way of Chucktown What
The Obama campaign had to be aware of these numbers prior to the first debate, so that makes you wonder if there was a concerted effort to advise the Prez to play it safe during the debate due to a strong confidence in the strength of their "advantage" strictly on the raw numbers of voter registration and early voting requests.

Despite the beating they've taken all week due to the debate, one result (that hopefully is a consideration that was factored into their debate strategy) of Romney's "win" is that it seemed to galvanize and energize the Democratic base from a sense of complacency to one of urgency.

Having a 2 Million+ supposed advantage doesn't matter if the overwhelming consensus is that the win is in the bag, because people may decide they don't need to show up to vote because Obama's re-election is presumptive. Alot of the polls prior to the debate, while showing Obama up, also showed a huge disparity compared to the GOP in terms of voter enthusiasm, particularly among the youth, minorities, and single women. Since the post-debate Romney bounce, a collective realization of the fact that Romney can still win has registered on a real level, and hopefully the Obama campaign can take advantage of that to make sure that their supporters actually vote to secure the win, as opposed to assuming that the win is in the bag.

Just my $.02

a close race doesnt hurt obama cuz someone wont say "i can chill no need"

lossing that debate may help him get elected

you're right. i thought about this. before the debate, the consensus was that obama was running away with this election. that it was in the bag for him. but now that folks see that he's in trouble, i think that'll make them come out for sure. but then again we could all be wishful thinking lol
