I was thinking about Maggie Gyllenhaal's age when I watched this. She's 39 in real life. Since this show takes place in 1971, that would make her character about 85 years old today.

We've reached a point in time in 2017 when people dying of old age today would still be considered "cool"/relatable to us today when they were young.

Act like it wasn't white goons pressuring the twins, or the ones that took his wife in the pool hall. Its NYC nikkas was pimpin. They have a black cop too. No different than the wire outside of Ziggy and them.

Feel like HBO got another hit in the fact that its a very good show I don't know if it will blow up popularity wise tho.
I was wanting more. Sucks and also is a positive you have to wait for the next episode. The pilot gets to sit on you.

First episode was good overall.

First ep was coo..... But I'm not feeling the Franco double role shyt.... Just looks sloppy and fake as hell... If they can't do it right they shouldn't do it at all....

I agree with this... He was good as the one brother they mainly focused on but that scene where they were taking to each other was wack... I have to see it again but that scene felt out of place with the overall tone for some reason, part of it has to do with the acting.
