That's what I was thinking as well but this final season is off the chain. A lot of characters either getting knocked off (Rudy, Lori, Mikey) or done caught the monster (Big Mike, Shay, one half of that gay couple, etc.,) shyts crazy David Simon wasn't playing when he said anybody can meet they end. A lot of it is sad as fukk.

Didn't even realize this was back to a few weeks ago. Getting caught up. Think I'm up to episode 3 or 4. I'm nowhere near as interested in the show as I was the first two seasons. Kind of being more so used as background noise if I'm being honest. Not one storyline has done it for me so far this season. Hopefully it picks up

They did all that cracking down and closing shop on The Deuce and it really didn't change shyt.

good finale but damn it was depressing seeing all those faces gone

and it goes to show, the more things change, the more they stay the same

people always gonna want sex, drugs, alcohol, and all the other vices and they'll find it one way or the other.

I think time will be good to this show but not as much as The Wire. The Deuce didn't have as much action, and classic scenes and characters like the Wire and that'll hurt it, but it is a show people will say in passing to prop up Simon's cred.

Really solid finale. The time-jump had me skeptical at first but dammit man did they execute it well. David Simon once again takes an entire city and turns it into a character that impacts everything in its way.

Seeing CC standing behind Lori was some dark shyt given full context.

Funny enough, all the characters I initially despised I ended up having a soft spot for. Abby's arc was capped off nicely....glad she went back to school. I peeped what Simon did with her in those closing minutes...very fitting for her character.

Kinda anti-climatic. Seeing time square how it is now, at the end, kinda makes you think.

it’s like pre and post 9/11 NYC. So much has changed.

I love NYC, but fukk NYC. Other cities have stories too

Weakest season...that finale was boring and wack. I kinda liked the ending scene other than the old head makeup looking kinda corny...and Sabotka talkin bout "hey, but i'm dead!" Dave Simon don't need to be spoon feeding nikkas...thats not this show. Good series overall tho.
