Decent show. Could have been a lot better but still quality. Simon should do a show about 80s crack era in NYC but I know how these guys get about revisiting territory they’ve “already covered”

Good show. Simon and George Pelacanos brought an interesting story to life (gotta credit George too since it’s a 2 person creation, not just David Simon but since he’s the “name” most people will just credit him.)

Like Treme, I’m glad I watched it, and I’m glad HBO sticks by its creators and lets them tell (and end) the “smaller” stories with the clout they earned.

No I seen the dementia drunken scene Vincent had. But I mean was her death addressed at all by the characters? If not it just shows her killing her self was justified in her mind

Nothing directly but I think candy alluded to it when talking to the actors about people pretending to be ok or something. At least that's how I interpreted it

I get it. People don't want to be beholden fo people they have real relationships for and then make dumb ass decisions that are actually worse in order to avoid it. When I was in college I took out a payday loan that fuxked me up for the rest of the semester in order to pay my rent instead of just asking my mom who would've likely either just given me the money or loaned it without truly expecting it back.

That ending was pretty dope man, it kinda tied everything together and gave a better perspective of the whole last season...it made all those parts that seemed a bit slow and boring fit better into the overall story

Still, without the pimps the story did kinda lose it's soul. If they ever make an Iceberg Slim movie, that actor that played Cici gotta play him
