Probably the best episode of the series, coulda been the series finale as it seems like most of the major stories were wrapped up. Felt more like a david simon wire episode than any other in this series.

I agree with whoever said a few pages ago that this series will be appreciated more down the line than right now.

I figure if they wanted to get rid of him, he’d have been left in prison. Also, Alston’s still alive too.

Touché mon frère. Speaking of whom, hope his arc ends in a satisfying way because he's been half-ghosted this season which is part of reason why I didn't think of his calculating ass

He could end up running an escort service. He also feels like the kind of character who end up holding a bag of money and leave town. He could be the one to kill the Tommy after Tommy kills Bobby.

Low key wish Simon would’ve just made a mob show about the 60s-80s in NYC...I watch the show but I have zero interest in all of the plot lines with gays and on again off again whores the gentrification plot line and the Vincent/Rudy/brother in law at the parlor/Tommy Longo story are the only captivating portions of the show.

Abby’s character is pointless and dry af...candy’s movie shyt ran it’s course after 1 season...all the whores are boring too

this show could’ve been The Wire part 2 in the 60s/70s/80s instead we get a bunch of character stories about non compelling characters and plot lines.

I was talking about the Deuce today at a work lunch. A coworker brought up prostitution (it was a woman) randomly (in saying the Johns should get in trouble not the prostitutes (it was actually somewhat related to a conversation detailing who should get in trouble for breaching privacy).

I was like, do you watch the Deuce on HBO? :gladbron:

She and everybody else had never heard of it. They’re like, what’s it about? I say, all aspects of the sex trade. They’re like :dwillhuh:

I go, :whoa: the guy that created The Wire does this show too.

they’re like, oh okay :obama:

Those other storylines are there to appeal to women. Have no idea if they are actually watching this show though
