Dem voters don't understand the value of state and local politics like Republicans
Imma stop you right here. You have a point about other things, but it’s not just Dem voters. The DNC devalued local politics since the Clinton “third way” revolution. Obama didn’t put as much value on it either since he only turned on his voter infrastructure for his elections only.

That’s been a national Democratic Party problem since the 90s.

2016 redux. Voters don’t respond to arguments that boil down to “the other guy is racist and evil so vote for me.” They’re attempting to scare the base but the base doesn’t care that much either, because the base’s main interests have been sidelined by democrats. The base wants BBB.

They sold this as an existential issue that has to be solved to save democracy yet knew they couldn’t deliver shyt. It’s madness. You could have passed the Electoral Count Act reforms months ago, or right now if not for that weird Biden speech. There are ten Republican votes for that, including McConnell. But they’d rather play politics and hope this energizes black people. Good luck with that.

Remember how the media swore that Joe was the only guy that can unite the party and pass meaning legislation?:duck:

And before you shyt lib, establish, nut hugging dems get offended and call out progressives. I'll admit that probably progressives wouldn't be able to pass things under these circumstances as well. However, one thing for sure they ain't going down saying "I don't know if we can get this done:to:"

Get this loser outta of my sight with that loser mentality. :hhh::hhh:

Praise Christ :ohlawd:

fukk these Dempublican faggits and their do nothing establishment stanleys. fukk the fake progressive wing of the Dempublicans including the Fraud Squad, the big tent must burn to the fukkin ground. Honestly, I hope our generation collectively rejects both parties and tries a new third party like the People’s Party.

if they have their mind right, progressives can now play hardball with a clear conscience and the ability to point to their cooperative spirit when centrists inevitably start whining. that is the only positive i can take from this

I wish that was the case, but look at how Socialism has failed in this country countless times. As far right as this govt is now, even nominal bullshyt like the AOCs of the world are considered toxic radicals. They don’t have an educated enough voter base to draw from nor do they have the kinda guts it takes to go that route.

I’m convinced that only very extreme circumstances can dislodge America out of the embrace of conservatism and into a space where progressive politics actually has a chance.

There's no way 10 Republicans were voting for any meaningful Electoral Reform, with or without Biden's speech.

At this point anything that can actually cause that to become a possibility.. probably kills the usa off

I'm willing to give the Dems enough Senators to get 53 votes so we don't have to deal with the Sinema/Manchin bullshyt. But if they still can't get their caucus -- not the GOP, the Dem caucus-- to do shyt, then we really gonna have to find another way.

I'd rather have lukewarm legislation then whatever the GOP is handing out. But politicians should never be this ineffective.

Vote in your local elections, breh and brehettes.
Only answer that makes sense.
You need 53 and maybe 54-55 senators to do things.
