- The end ... not that it matters since the trilogy of Nolan's take of the mythos ended, but I think Batman died. Normally I'd be like naaaah the guy is Batman he can't die - but Nolan's depiction of Batman is a lot more realistc and vulnerable, how could he have survived a nuclear blast like that, even if he jumped ship at one point? I think in the end Alfred was just seeing what he wanted to see ... but maybe Nolan left it for interpretation on purpose. Either way ...
