:snoop:

I watched TDK the night before seeing TDKR.

TDK is better, had better action, Batman was actually Batman in the movie and it was much more than just the Joker. What about Harvey Dent? You're in the minority for a reason. I watched TDKR wondering when the shyt was going to end. Kind of like how Avatar was for me. Yeah it's a decent flick, but it's nothing mind blowing at all.

1. it did not have better action. it DID have a better chase scene thou. but nah, not remotely better action than TDKR.

2. batman was SUPPOSE to be in full batman mode in that movie, just as BATMAN in TDKR is SUPPOSE to been a shell of himself, as alfred saw and part of the reason why he chucked the deuces... the only time batman was officially back in batman-mode was when he escaped from the "lazarus pit" reborn.

3. TDK is one of the dopest film to have come out within a decade, but lets face it... people DO overrated it because of the joker... it overshadows everything else in the film.

Ole "I need a 6 episode mini series so I can see how Bruce got back to Gotham and how the city had changed once Bane took over" azz nikkas in here :scusthov:

nikka, he was penniless and half dead when he left the pit and he suddenly stolls into a city that was supposedly under siege in one day like hes getting the daily paper? You dont find that a little:childplease: No one asking for an extra hour but at least attempt to explain or show how he managed to pull that off instead of "its just batman hes special" bullshyt.

Joker was :boss:

That scene when he walks in laughing and starts talking to the dudes about getting batman is just amazing.

Not so fast my friend, ACTION WISE TDKR > TDK for the simple fact you could actually see what was going on.

TDK is better, but TDKR is damn good too.

There was no scene in tdkr fukking with joker firing rockets into Dent's transport detail scene. That shyt was legendary.

No I don't find that a little strange since I wasn't worried about that OR would have made a lick of difference to me anyway :manny:.

Yeah, that's how I feel also.

TDKR had more visual backdrop scenes where they scenery of what was going on was like... :gladbron:

But the actual action scenes weren't nearly as memorable as the best ones in TDK.

The intro for TDKR in the plane was nice but it didn't floor me like the chase scene you're referring to in TDK. I remember seeing that in the theater like...
:ohlawd:

Then the movie transitioned from that to Joker being interrogated, it was just piff on top of piff.

The most visually impressive scene in TDKR is probably the football one, but hell, everybody saw that before the movie even came out because of the trailers.

IDK IMO it seemed kinda telling that a franchise that has been so mature and realistic compared to other comic book movies would have such a glaring hole in it

yes, the chase scene epic. none will argue with that. but you say the 1st fight vs. bane wasn't memorable? especially when he officially breaks the bat which was the iconic pic in the comics... i think u need to relook at that again.

Yea. I just felt like the action scenes in TDKR, like every other aspect, was rushed. It was perfect in TDK seeing the set up of that scene starting with Joker blasting the cop with the sawed off all the way until the culmination of Batman speeding full on towards the Joker in the street. All the action in TDKR was limited at best. The fight with Bane on the courtsteps while visually impressive was weak. There was no momentum changing event or mistake that batman capitalized on. He just whopped his ass out of the blue when the whole movie told us that Bane was so much more faster and powerful. The finale with the bat chasing talia was way too short and anticlimatic. I just felt like once Batman returned, Bane and his army were no longer threatening, which sucked because after the explosions at the football stadium and the death of the doctor, I was like :gladbron: this nikka not fukking around. In TDK, you always had the feeling until the very end that Joker had a hand to play to even the situation.

And even when Joker got yoked up, Bats had Harvey to deal with.

Damn...

TDK :ahh:

That scene was an editing disaster. There is no sense of space or continuing action....just rapid cuts and explosions. It's the prime reason why I've been so harsh on Nolan's direction of action. He was much, much better in that aspect on this film.
