Gone with the wind was in the box office for YEARS and over that time period, that was the only way you'd be able to see the flick, since there was no dvds back then. Nowadays, people know they only need wait a few months before it'll be available in their home. If one is to adjust for inflation, one must also adjust for other factors. All things considered, I'd say Titanic is probably the biggest film ever.

As has already been pointed out, the Joker is Batman's main villain, and probably the most popular villain across the board....it'll always be the biggest draw for a Batman flick.

i never even seen a batman movie after BATMAN RETURNS :troll: but nothing will ever surpass jack nicholson, michael keaton, and prince in the first one.

Batman 89 and Terminator 2 were the biggest movie events i remember back in the day..jurassic park too.

fukking yea jurassic park was mad crazy when it came out

the promotion, the damn toys, hell they even had the JAWBREAKER CANDY :russ::bow:

batman in 89 had people giving standing ovation when i was at the movie theater


terminator 2 made people want to learn SPANISH :lawd:

I know the whole time I was in the theatre my head was on a swivel

yeah, i was in that theatre scared as shiet eating my nachos, but then I was like, "Nah, Fukk that, They can shoot this Theater up!!!"

Factor in the biggest mass shooting in US history connected with this film... then factor in the lack of 3-D.

And yet it STILL managed one of the biggest opening weekends ever, is STILL the second highest grossing film worldwide this year, and STILL is poised to pass the 1 billion dollar mark worldwide.

I'm just glad it didn't flop. :whew:
