you can't criticize the top three people who saved wrasslin, period.

no d.bry, no aj styles, no christopher daniels there is no wrasslin of quality after 2004, consistently.
plus, standard inring workrate never gets elevated style wise either.

aj, db and daniels, have no way to negatively criticize them as actual talents.
maybe you are a mark and have an issue with understanding booking or quality.
yet, when given ample or even pisspoor booking all three are the reason wrasslin is at times a quality product.
if not for the three, plus the guys like even people like sabin to joe, to punk aries, and any of the other indy heros of wrasslin.
wrasslin would have no actual talent worth investing time into viewing the overall industry let alone product in any promotion.

anyone who really is a smart.
who still has some vigor for watching since 2001 or before will tell you that.

any critique you talk about the indy heroes who saved wrasslin is all on the promotion and out of said grapplers hands.
only a mark would blame any periods of low quality on them.
as a smart knows the components of the business.
that are relateable to the book and the grappler.
which if you were a smart.
you would know, that any poor quality angle or output from the indy heroes of wrasslin is about pisspoor management of the promotion and not the talent's fault.

"Frail" and "vanilla midget" are really ridiculous terms to use in describing Daniel Bryan.

Until this year he had no kind of reputation for getting hurt, even though his matches are as physical as anybody's against mostly larger opponents. That's the opposite of "frail".

And "vanilla" in Kevin Nash's definition means plain and boring. Plain and boring wrestlers don't get Daniel Bryan pops. He's got a natural underdog charisma that people genuinely like.

That "vanilla midget" shyt has been twisted over the years so that now people are applying the term to anyone who isn't huge or roided up. The original definition got lost.

Worship of wrestlers in general reaches silly levels sometimes and if that's the point of the OP I can get with that. Everybody has faults, and Daniel Bryan is not a God. Some of the D-Bry criticism here though is of the trolling, cheapshot variety.

This can be said about any wrestler who's supposed to be getting pushed and keeps getting shytty angles. Even if they are good wrestlers ie; Cesaro, AJ towards the end of his time in TNA, even Sting at some points in TNA

not exactly,.....
there are grapplers who are not as skilled.
plus, who will never achieve the skill set to actually do what is required in full regardless of the quality of lack of quality of angle.
a guy like aj, sting, and db, and other Indy heroes who saved wrasslin.
are victims of pisspoor quality and not from not having overly high quality skill sets.
again, db, aj and even guys like sting are above critique like that.
as, they can and have still found gold when given shyt.
or, made a shyt sandwich somewhat enjoyable.
when, there was no to make said angle have any semblence of quality in general.
