Even if it is true that most QBs dont use that leadership style anymore, its what we are missing here. Its hard for the HC to hold guys accountable when they can go directly to the owner if they are unhappy with the coach.

We all just saw Aaron Donald rally his defense late against the 9ers when they were down by 10 late in the game. Our QB gets mad when reporters are saying hes in a slump. Our QB blames refs.

Again it starts from the top. Our owner and HC also ran with the "Dak isn't in a slump" narrative as well. Our owner pacifies his QB's

He was well on his way to choking this game away but the refs went from not calling anything to giving him 3 first downs inside the 15 on the game winning drive

But narrative going to narrative though.

The thing about the Stafford talk is he's in year 13. He's a perfect example of how environment matters. He did nothing in Detroit for 12 years and then goes to the Rams and wins a SB. Because the Rams have the right coaching/culture/talent in place to get the best out of him and he was good enough to push what they had over the top. They already proved they could win by going to the SB a few years ago with Goff. I know damn well if Dak gets to year 13 without a Super Bowl appearance and his still QB of this team most of this thread would have offed themselves by that point.
