I mean I think all demos should be adequately represented but still...

It sounds harsh but a little bit, yes.

I just think the film winning should be the best film that represented the year in which it won.

Too many films win which dont do that because the academy is so skewed.

Crash is a good movie but it's also a very manipulative one. It's one of those movies where events happen exactly as they need to happen to bring its theme across. But goddamn if it doesn't work though.

In retrospect Crash was a bit contrived and frankly, corny.

But at the time I liked the movie when seeing it the first time.
