You a yankees fan right? Irrelevance is hard to deal with it so you resorting to non stop trolling

I saw you hyped about gleyber torres another theo signing :skip:
Cashman took 3 months of a player nobody wanted to touch because of a domestic violence charge and turned him into the best shortstop prospect in baseball.

It's clear who won that deal.

Though to be fair, the Cubs HAD to go all-in. So it won't hurt when Chapman closes out the series.

The team that won that deal is the one who can give away a top ss prospect because they have a 22 year old all star 4 war ss who was tied for most defensive runs saved in mlb and a 23 year old back up ss who had the 3rd most defensive runs saved for any 2b despite playing 800 less innings at 2b than the top 2 in mlb who also was just named co nlcs mvp those 2 are proven at the mlb level.Cubs are in the world series and were the best team in baseball before that trade but you can gloat over a single a prospect it's not like the cubs needed him.Go google eloy jimenez 19 year outfielder who will be top 25 next season it don't stop bruh

And how many of them were gotten for a relief pitcher?

:sas2:
Crawford has no power and doesn't project to hit well.
Arcia might do well. Let's see. He had meh numbers for a guy in the PCL but held his own.
Swansby is legit but he's effectively a MLBer so not a prospect.
Same with Bregman.
And Trea Turner is an outfielder now.

Article was released July 1st.
Let's see how the AFL plays out and see the rankings next winter/summer.

I'm happy with we we got.
Fantastic return on investment.

I didn't want to trade torres for a rental.I rather he headline a trade for a pitching prospect with equal value or a mlb cost controlled starter I said that at the time

But he's blocked and the players blocking him are doing things right now on the big stage.Cubs had that luxury not too many teams can say that :manny:

Jimenez had to wait one further year to emerge, but he’s been one of the stars of the Midwest League in 2016. He’s hitting .330/.370/.522 for South Bend and was one of the stars of the Futures Game as he homered and made a fearless catch down the right field line.

Both rank among the better prospects in baseball. Torres ranked 27th in our Midseason Top 100 while Jimenez ranked 46th.

If you’re asking who has a better chance to become a star, the answer is Jimenez. Jimenez has the size, strength and power potential that could see him end up as a middle-of-the-lineup stalwart. His frame and present power make it easier to project him as a future 25-30 home run slugger.

But if you’re asking who is the safer bet to be a big league regular, the answer is Torres.

Yankees had a choice between these too and chose the player who is blocked.Cubs still won the trade and if they win 3 more games it won't be debatable

Eloy might grow out of the position. Possibly why NYY chose Torres.

And you should know better than this horseshyt "blocked at his position" stuff.

The Cubs effectively have 2 shortstops in their infield.

Torres will be a top 30 prospect next year.
Go ahead and show me how many teams have gotten a top 30 prospect for a relief pitcher?

:jbhmm:

Hell, MinorLeagueBall.com in their end of the season rankings put Torres 16th! -- below a number of shortstops, but none of them younger than Torres except for Ozzie Albies.
