Nasty Work :hhh:

Speaking to Ariel Helwani on the Ariel Helwani Show, Dyer (Corbin) gave more insight into his feeling.

"When I brought that up, it’s not something I want to put out there, just the name. But I do, and there’s several other people that have kind of confirmed that that person is part of the issue. They have a good amount of power, and for some reason, they’re not a fan of me or what I do. They were part of the thing to push me to go down to NXT and do some matches, which I think was kind of, ‘We’ll put him down there for a little bit. He’ll complain or he’ll do something, and it won’t work, and then that gives us a reason.’ Then I went down there and just killed it and caught on fire and became a babyface for the first time in my career, and the audiences were behind me, they loved the Wolf Dogs stuff. They couldn’t deny that it wasn’t working. So then when I got back up to the main roster, that person had power again, and I think I got shelved, and then if anybody, it doesn’t matter who it is, if you have one person that’s kind of that guy that’s always like, ‘Ah, not for him, let’s not use him for that. He’s not working,’ then other people are like, ‘Well, I’m not going to pitch ideas for that person because this guy’s going to shoot it down and stuff like that. Like I said, I’m not throwing names out there," he said.

Asked if he tried to clear the air with that person, Dyer replied, “Yeah, but I also don’t know why or where it went south. I never gave a reason, for sure. I actually enjoyed this person. I thought they were....a lot of people have ulterior motives in this world, and they will be fake to your face, and you have to be able to separate them, and sometimes I will give people the benefit of the doubt. I think I gave it to them a few too many times, and I should have watched myself maybe better around them or whatnot, but I think that the reason they had an issue with me was not me, it was another situation that I think may have caused that, but who knows?"

im tryna make that make sense. melo ain't doing shyt on main so its racist? its bout 80 muhfukkas on the main roster that ain't doing shyt. i asked what happened that was racist and your answer was bron breakker got pushed. you gotta understand why im scratching my head

so Melo is tearing it up in NXT... promos, ring work, whatever, HBK has him positioned as a main eventer. Right there with Bron. He goes up to the main roster and doesn't do much of anything... and your reply is "a lot of guys aren't doing anything.."

Ok, let's play your game. No black male wrestlers had singles matches on any PLE last year. You got guys like Melo and before him Montez Ford (who showed out when given a chance) and them and others can't get any motion..

You really have to ask why that is? :russ:

Yea I think Bron Breakker’s push being specifically done at the expense of Carmelo Hayes because he’s black is one of the least grounded takes I’ve ever heard

That wasn't the "take" though was it?

The take was that both were positioned as main eventers and one is doing nothing while the other got the rocket. If Melo was at least doing something worthwhile, nobody would be saying much about it and this also falls in line with how Triple H has stunted the growth of other black men on the roster.

He didn't like Swerve. He had nothing for Lashley and Shelton. He didn't like MVP. He didn't want to push Montez Ford after it was proven dude was a star and now he doesn't wanna push Melo.

Is that all a coincidence? You tell me lol...

Doesn’t that imply one is being pushed because he white?

:dead:

I’m kinda lost in the conversation at this point but it’s 80 degrees outside so ima just agree with you

Sidenote I’m in Indio right now and ain’t no black people around. I get anxiety around too many whites so pray for me mane, shyt weird over here

Honestly, Carmelo is better suited for AEW at this point. If he could leave right now, and inserted in a program with Rico he would be a star overnight.
He's gonna clown Ricochet the first opportunity he gets :mjlol:

Lol I just read this. We’re having two different conversations which is usual when I talk to you to be honest.. you one of them gaslighty Joe Budden nikkas when it comes to trying to have a grounded conversation lol

I asked what they did to Melo that ya’ll consider racist and I’m asking genuinely because I really don’t know and stopped watching wrestling a few months ago. Maybe the nikka c00ning and going by jigaboo jones or something, I don’t know. I’m waiting on ya’ll to tell me

So far all you’re doing is telling me you think triple h is racist as if I’m saying he’s not. I’m not. I literally don’t care about triple h to the point where his death would mean more to yall than it would me. Nobody is defending that man or saying he is or isn’t anything. I’m just asking what they did to Melo that yall think is racist, and so far the average answer is that he lost some matches and Bron Breakker be winning. If that’s your final answer then cool, I won’t disagree. I think it’s not very grounded since a lot of people lose, some have made a career out of it… but if that’s how you feel I ain’t gon tell ya you wrong.
