Does anyone still believe the Heat are real contenders and not just a team who've been on a Cinderella run? I tried telling y'all when they were up 3-0.

Most people who know the game said this but it was called hate. Alot of analysts said the Celtics have a chance to come back after they won game 1 because they know Boston is a much better team.

Jimmy double-dribbled. Rightfully, it should've been a turnover.

It should've been rewarded with the correct call and folks would be talking about how it was a 'genius' challenge.

:yeshrug:

You don't think there is a foul before the double dribble(hit on the head)? Jimmy should have never even taken three shots, should have been 2 if we being honest.

They called a foul on the shooting action, which was after the double dribble.

The contact on Jimmy's head was marginal, but yes, if they were going to determine Al fouled him there, it should've been two FTs.

Regardless, the challenge should've been rewarded with the right call, and it wasn't. Folks in here trying to shame Mazzulla when the refs didn't do their job properly is hilarious. We'd be looking at him challenging that play with a whole different perception if the officials got it right. It'll be interesting to see on the two-minute report if they're willing to admit they made a mistake not calling it a double-dribble.

Wasted a 20-point 15-rebound effort from Caleb. He ain’t doing that in game 7. Need those numbers from Bam, he’ll probably go ghost tho. Dude is basically Joel Anthony with a smaller nose.

This is a red herring.

He was calling timeouts in the first three games.

It's just y'all focused on the moments where the Heat were capitalizing on runs and putting it down to the fact Mazzulla wasn't calling timeouts as the reason why.

Case in point - Game 1 when the Heat came back in the 3rd quarter; Mazzulla called a timeout when the Heat cut a 9-point lead into a tie game, then Miami came out of that timeout and went on another run (12-6) until there was a next timeout. The timeout made no cotdamn difference - the Heat were just on fire and couldn't be stopped. Miami took a 12-point lead heading into the 4th because they had an outlier of play [46 points in a quarter].

Conversely, Spo has let the Celtics go on runs without calling timeouts over these last three games. Hell, he sat Jimmy for the last nine minutes of the 4th quarter in Game 5, taking away the opportunity for him to not only bridge back the margin, but give him a chance to find some rhythm, form and quality shot generation heading into Game 6. He then came into this game struggling because he couldn't work out what to do once the Celtics stopped falling for his pump-fakes.
We're not saying Mazzulla didn't call any timeouts. We're saying he's let pivotal runs continue and/or refused to use timeouts at pivotal moments at the end of games. But don't worry, 2nd Row Joe will probably blow it in epic fashion on Monday. Don't disappear when that happens.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
The narrative around Joe Mazzulla would have been way different if Derrick White didn't get that shot off. KKKeltics would have been calling for his head. :mjlol:

Calling a challenge, losing it, and giving Miami an extra free throw to win it would have been an all time coaching fukkup

@surf damn big dawg y’all bout to do the unthinkable :pacspit: :myman:

I’m not a celtics fan (nets)…just enjoying what ended up being a real exciting series (potentially historic come monday) that I initially slept on (I had celtics “easily” winning in 5)…I’m good either way with whichever team advances to the finals tho
