Probably the same way parents hate some of their kids... we all know parents have their favorites and desires to disown the kids they are most dissappointed with but they can never say that shyt out loud or everyone will look at them like

Frieza was the best villain of the series, but I thought Perfect Cell had a pretty good story arc as well from his first appearance all the way to the Cell Games to his gangster death (he never back down unlike Frieza). The Buu sagas was when it became .

If I recall, Vegeta could have easily defeated Cell before he went Perfect but he decided to let him absorb the Androids in order to provide a bigger challenge.

Exactly. I love Vegeta but his pride and ego, arrogant is what keep him down.

He would have won the batter before Cell went Perfect Cell and everybody was like and and but at the same Vegeta was like then everybody have to mention Gokiu's name "Man, I wish Goku was here" and Vegeta would be like

The best thing about the Buu sagas was the relationship between Buu and Hercule. Hercule single handedly stopped Buu's destruction (before some random ass thug ruined it) and helped Goku get his energy for the final Spirit Bomb. He showed he could be a normal nikka and still have somewhat importance in the show unlike Yamcha, Tien and Krillin. Even Piccolo had to give Videl his props to her father
