If I recall, Vegeta could have easily defeated Cell before he went Perfect but he decided to let him absorb the Androids in order to provide a bigger challenge.
Vegeta was getting played throughout the whole series. fukkkin gohan getting time to shine and Vegeta always got portrayed as being weak. disgusting.
it would have been epic if vegeta killed frieza, after all those years of being his slave
Word.. at least let Goku fukk him up to the point he's helpless and on the ground and let Vegeta give the final death blow

nobody got played more than picollo, he went from saiyan level to powerup, to not even ever goin super namek aside from bein way stronger than slug, vegeta good if you remember, goku wasnt even gohan level. gohan was better than level 2 without even goin super saiyan. a few characters got screwed........

Not that hard to understand. He probably created Vegeta with qualities that he would probably hate to see in real life people. His plans to dispatch that nikka got foiled when the stans stood up for Vegeta and then the executives were like
"You better keep that nikka in this show or we'll cancel your ass..." So I guess that made him hate the character even more.But anyway I've been saying it for years. After Vegeta turned "good" he was basically instilled with the worf effect.

We gotta make the main hero look good, so they keep making that guy catch Ls. Despite the fact that he's supposed to be hot shyt just so the main hero doesn't become the backdrop to the show.It's dumb as fukk.
That's probably why Vegeta was never featured in most of the DBZ movies, it's also why Vegeta vs Piccolo never happened cause it would have been an awesome fight.
Vegeta should have had more shine than he did, it explains why Android 18 easily broke Vegeta's arm even in Super Saiyan mode... looking back Dr. Gero never knew about the power and legend of the super saiyan so how he created #18 to handle Super Saiyan Vegeta with ease yet Android #19 who was sucking all the power out of Vegeta got killed with ease?

Frieza was the best villain of the series, but I thought Perfect Cell had a pretty good story arc as well from his first appearance all the way to the Cell Games to his gangster death (he never back down unlike Frieza). The Buu sagas was when it became
