Another think, the perception that Harden is a bad defender has to change. That video that came out years ago has stuck with him even though the last 2-3 years he’s drastically improved. Not saying he’s all-NBA level but he’s not a negative on D and he’s pound for pound the best post defender in the league.

That video was trash then and its trash now. This bad defender label never gets attached to white star players yet you can pick out clips of these dudes being lazy on defense and not guarding folks.

If anything the excuses always get used when it comes to white stars not giving effort on the defensive end.

Never seen a game in which Westbrook didn’t give 100% effort. To think he’s not a top 10 player is disrespectful. Honestly since the start of the year he’s been better than Harden and like I said in the hot takes thread I wouldn’t be surprised if they win it all.

Just checked his stats and he’s averaging 27 8 7 on 47% yet people still think he’s not a top 10 player

Shaq was a skilled big and didn’t rim run and throw the ball to whomever his eye happens to catch. He was also underrated in passing out of the post. When necessary, he also had a Kobe and Wade to handle the ball on the perimeter along with the game being different back then anyways. I always felt Giannas will probably need a solid PG/SG in the future, not that Khris/Hill/Bledsoe are bad but you get what I mean

Just because I have time today I went and reviewed a highlight reel of 2nd MVP LeBron, same age as Giannis:



Giannis not hitting stepbacks, fades, crossovers, pull-ups, or game-winners with the regularity LeBron did. Giannis not slaughtering people in the post or taking nikkas off the dribble like LeBron did. Giannis is a really good passed but he doesn't have the hand or the vision LeBron had. LeBron hit his threes at an 8% (.333 to .308) higher rate in an era where the 3 wasn't the tool it is now, if that LeBron at the same age played in today's environment he'd be roughly a 36% three-point shooter, while Giannis is playing in today's environment and below 31%...

They dominated differently, LeBron could play bully ball and slam all over people like Giannis. I also think LeBron was a little more explosive, though Giannis is explosive as well. Giannis is extremely dominant at his bread and butter, and I'm a guy who doesn't really care "how" somebody dominates if its getting the job done; the degree of dominance between '10 LeBron and '20 Giannis is similar....

But these statements that Giannis is what LeBron was has never been true and dudes tell on themselves every time they say it, like nikkas wasn't around to see '10 Bron or can't just go look up the shyt themselves. Its unbelievable...outside of a few similarities, they are/were pretty different players, and LeBron was winning those MVPs and 60+ games without the degree of shooting support around him...

I like Giannis. He's the New Bron because of the b2b MVPs, dominance, age, winning, and small market thing, and he gone find out in a few months everything that comes from being New LeBron when the Bucks don't win this title and the degree of scrutiny and hate ratchets up by a thousand. He about to find it out very soon...but these dudes at the same age do not play alike...

Jimmy is leading the 2nd or 3rd biggest surprise team, one of the top teams in the league and is a top 5 2way player.

Dumb nikkas still getting fooled by Russ stats. We already seen what Dame did to him when he undressed him last playoff. Ricky Rubio was lighting his ass up for a few games in their series too. He got 0 case for top 10 player. Hes at his best as a robin like he is right now to Harden and was to KD. Same with PG but his skillset way better suited for that and when they was on the same team George was better.

KAT is on a bum ass team so nikkas wont give him his due but hes a beast. Even if u remove him, Russ got 0 case against any of the other dudes Russ my favorite player but growling and being mad all the time dont mean he a top 10 player. His intangibles and impact are lacking, always were despite his heart
