It funny watching Bron stans come full circle. When he was in Giannis position dominating the box score his stans always brought that up in comparison to Kobe even tho Kobe was closing games and much more refined for playoffs. Giannis still put up monster stats now but getting criticized. Meanwhile Bron shot 30% but closed and made winning plays and getting praised. What Kobe VS Bron was in 2009/10 been what Bron VS Giannis is now:lolbron:

Stop it, the Bron/Giannis thing was always a lazy comparison outside of just vague domination. Giannis doesn't have anywhere near the tools in his bag that Bron had in Year 7 (2010), he doesn't have any playoff run on his resume like '07 or '09 Bron, nothing...

They are comparable because they are exactly 10 years apart in age, both were drafted to a small market team and turned them into contenders, and both dominate(d) to a similar degree. Outside of that, there is no comparison, the way they dominate(d) is entirely different, LeBron was greater at an earlier age and he was always more offensively talented than Giannis at the same age...

I know @murksiderock wants to say something :russ:

I can't remember the thread but I said way back in March that when these two played again Houston would win. Of course I expected Harden to play better but his simply taking the challenged of defending a guy 6 inches taller and snuffing him out sent a major message...

I also said back then Houston is a dark horse championship threat, my opinion on that ain't changed!

Never seen a game in which Westbrook didn’t give 100% effort. To think he’s not a top 10 player is disrespectful. Honestly since the start of the year he’s been better than Harden and like I said in the hot takes thread I wouldn’t be surprised if they win it all.

Just checked his stats and he’s averaging 27 8 7 on 47% yet people still think he’s not a top 10 player :mjtf:

No he's not right, most Bron stans don't need to use stats any more than anyone else to support their guy...

He also isn't right because Bron's game at the same age was more refined to start with and he was more accomplished at the same age, which means there was a greater reason to trust that LeBron was who we thought he was. Giannis has won two playoff series in his life, both last year, and his style of play is not as fluid...

It's a lazy comparison...

Another think, the perception that Harden is a bad defender has to change. That video that came out years ago has stuck with him even though the last 2-3 years he’s drastically improved. Not saying he’s all-NBA level but he’s not a negative on D and he’s pound for pound the best post defender in the league.

shaq did it 4 times.

Breh don't let shaq size fool you. Dude had hell a fied post moves in the paint in his prime and later years.

Second he was a much much much better passer out of the post than greek freak. Shaq was an elite post passer/passer out of double teams and one of the best post passers in NBA history.

Shaq was a skilled big and didn’t rim run and throw the ball to whomever his eye happens to catch. He was also underrated in passing out of the post. When necessary, he also had a Kobe and Wade to handle the ball on the perimeter along with the game being different back then anyways. I always felt Giannas will probably need a solid PG/SG in the future, not that Khris/Hill/Bledsoe are bad but you get what I mean

Yep I been saying the same thing for years. He isn't that elite ball handler or creating point forward. Like Lebron, Pippen or Bird. He also isn't cerebral like bron or bird.

I think eventually through trade that in his late 20s or early 30s Milwaukee will get him a PG or SG who can create to take the pressure off of him.
