I love the movie. I fukk with Dumas hard (from the musketeers, but I've never gotten around to the count). I'm going to finish 11.22.63, these two books by Frantz Fannon and then read the count based on this thread. :wow:
I read the Three Musketeers and loved it. So yes Dumas is that dude so I'm sure the book is great. But the movie?

The Truth
Heard about this, just never got around to reading it.

Y'all make it sounds like it goes hard though....:ohhh:

Might have to peep the movie....:ehh:
Watch the movie first

The book might ruin the movie. Movie is an instant classic, one of my top 3 favorite movies ever (Monte Cristo, Momento, V for Vendetta)

It's funny that Guy Ritchie is also in my next favorite movie in Momento...

But this movie goes hard, even got young Henry Caville in it (Batman V. Superman, MOS, Man from U.N.C.L.E.)

movie is nothing but a b*stardized version of the book, which is incredible. i'm assuming you mean the one with The Passion of the Christ in it.

SOHH ICEY MONOPOLY
They need to bring back the Swashbuckling genre. Movies like Count of Monte Cristo, Legend of Zorro, Man In The Iron Mask and The Three Musketeers are more fun, have better scenery, and are more diverse than a thousand movies about Knights or Vikings. Case in point, this is one of the few trailers that has peaked my interests lately. Alexander Dumas father actually trained under this man

The movie is excellent, and one of my favorites. I think it's one of the best adaptations. I do need to read The Black Count though. I watch a couple of docs on it.

This is in my local theater today. A must watch. I downloaded it a couple months ago. I wish I had waited.

I also pre-ordered it on Apple TV/itunes today.

I'm surprised there's not a series based on the book. There's a lot of different side stories that all came together in the end. It seems hard to fit into a 3hr movie.
