OK, so why when the left was telling Biden to make the child credits permanent because it was both a policy and political win didn't he listen? A year later it's don't bad talk Joe or you're a Fox News supporter?

Another example of Dems run to lose elections.
Covid policy wasn’t going to last forever.

You don't have to be a political genius to realize maintaining certain aspects could be beneficial to your long term electoral goals.

You make it permanent a dare the next fool to take it away

I'm pretty sure the permanent child tax credit failed because Manchin didn't support it.

I know what he's getting at, but you can't compare "negative economic datapoints" with “scary anecdotes about Democrats and minorities” like they're the same thing. "Economic datapoints" can have huge effects on large amounts of people. It's nothing like Fox News causing outrage because of trans athletes or trans Mr. Potatoheads.

There is legitimate criticism to be made about the "dirtbag left" grifters being fueled by outrage news, and how context is ignored and narratives are created, but the attempt to decouple "economic datapoints" from the real world effects doesn't sit right with me. He chose a bad example.

Bro, there's always some random Dem reason why shyt can't get done. If it wasn't Manchin, it would be another Dem or some senate technicality that only Dems follow. People don't care about that, all they know is you had the numbers. People were told they needed to vote for a Dem Senate and they obliged. Can't go back to them with ifs and buts....
