My parents are forcing me to go off to college next fall or I'm going to a community if I don't get accepted into any schools. I pray to God I can to a community because I can't imagine myself being in a dorm with bunch of people I barely know and probably won't know since I'm a nervous reck when it comes to socializing and being in public.

Pray for me y'all. :blessed:
You should reevaluate your feeling towards a 4 year university. Community college is just high school all over again and you run the risk of turning into a nobody. Some of the people you meet while dorming could be valuable in 3 or 4 years time.

I get what your saying I just hope people can accept me for who I am, especially my roommate since we are gonna be dorming with each other.

I'm not used to being around people other than the family to be honest, I was a stay at home type of kid,

That's just life prep breh. Either people are going to get along with you or they aren't. Don't think about it too much. Chances are they're feeling the same way you are now. After a few weeks you'll have already forgotten about it. Then you'll look back on it in 4 years and laugh at yourself.

More power to you, and I meant no disrespect. If you have a defined plan and can dedicate yourself to it then that path is fine. I just know of people that tried to go that route and never really finished anything. For example, a girl I was trying to get at a few years back was supposed to finish her Associate's at the CC down the road from the University I'm so, then transfer there. I don't believe she ever did.

@ShyJ I'm just trying to pass on what I've learned over the years so people don't have to make some of the same mistakes. Pretty soon you'll be able to drop some knowledge too.

Thanks i have mixed emotions about it overall. I'm proud of myself but it took me a looooong tine to figure out what I wated and needed.

Now I'm nervous as hell about transferring

But if there's a wheel, there's a way

Damn can't access TLR but at least I can post here. Alright sup brehs, brehettes. I need advice.

Planning on going to University next year but I am confused asf on what to do. Initially my plan was to pursuing a double major in Finance and Economics. However, looking around the web I found that Finance and Accounting major is where to be. Therefore I decided to pursue it. That was until I came into The Coli and ran into 6 Cert Gang. Brehs have me convinced that Computer Science is the place to be and part of me wants to try my hand it.

I'll be honest I want something that will guarantee financial security and career progression. Now I still have time before Uni intakes begin but I'm lost as hell on what to do. Been trying to login here the longest and get some insights.

Any pointers will be appreciated. Breh this my future here:mjcry:

@m0rninggl0ry yeah I understand, just an example I was using.

@Nasferatu Computer Science isn't an easy discipline so you should only get into it if you can see yourself doing it for a long time. A lot of people don't realize that CS can be more involved than just writing code. Now, that's not to discourage you, but to say that if you feel finance is where you belong then go for it.
