Scholarship window time has opened up. I'm trying to clean up more than I did last year. It feels good to have your costs go from 10K to 50 bucks:shaq:

Work first, Play later.

Get into a habit of always studying a few hours a day at least and get into a habit of studying on the weekends. I would study on Saturdays but on Sundays I never studied, those were my days.

I second this.

Chances are, opportunities to hang out and shoot the shyt will always be there. College is too damn expensive to be messing around and not putting in the work. You just have to make schoolwork the priority and fit everything else in.

That being said, you still want to make time for other stuff. School and only school takes a toll on you.

Is there a lot of schorships out there for grad school
Yes, but they are typically called 'fellowships'. Lots of stuff from school, government, and private foundations. What are you studying? The exceptions though are medicine, law, and business. Harder to get scholarships for those,

There is typically more for the PhD level but I am sure they have stuff for masters of public administration

But for real, check at the links below:
2016 Scholarship Program - National Forum for Black Public Administrators
Walter Mode
Wallace Keene
https://www.aspanet.org/Public/ASPADocs/Rohr scholarship 2013 (2).pdf
NASPAA - The Global Standard in Public Service Education

I would highly recommend you join at least two of these organizations (ASPA , NASPAA, and NFBPA) and preferably all three. As a student member both to be eligible and also to start going to local chapter meetings at your school or in the city. Networking will help you find other resources that aren't always public. In grad school finding mentors and meeting people are as important, if not more so than book work.

What level or kind of public administration are you interested in pursuing?

I'm majoring in linguistics but I'm thinking about making that minor and majoring in computer science, if possible.

I like linguistics but is it a money maker? I'm unsure. The money would be in engineering STEM ish.

Anybody have any advice? I'm a Jr, I would have to do my math classes again but I'm not far behind college math. Just 1 class.
