Guys, I'm taking this geology class, where we learn about rocks :comeon:, I failed the first quiz and I don't find the class interesting :francis:

Should I Withdraw with a W? Would this hurt my grad school choices and GPA?

A little background info. I'm a transfer student with a 3.X GPA

I think it depends on the school/teacher, some teacher make easy classes hard, some make hard classes easy.

@TheRealfG im not sure about grad school, but a W doesnt affect your GPA. If it's a required class then I would stick it out, but if not I might drop it depending on how many other Ws I have vs i might have to take in the future. Too many Ws can indicate bad time management skills.

It's a general education course, I mean it's so boring and the material is totally useless. Plus the professor is an actual fakkit :wrist:

I have a B.S. in Math and a few graduate hours in Stats...thinking of getting into Engineering or something. Looking at another Bachelor's or a Master's in something...money wouldn't be an option just not feeling the teaching field anymore. :dame:
I have a BS in Math and MS in Stats.

You don't have to teach at all.
I don't - main reason I didn't choose this path because I wanted to make money.

I do statistics, predictive modeling and math as my job, I'm a Data Analyst. I love my job and where I work.
In the future I think I want to get into Data Developing or something in Statistics Public Health, not sure yet.

To all my successful college students. How do you study?

Work first, Play later.

Get into a habit of always studying a few hours a day at least and get into a habit of studying on the weekends. I would study on Saturdays but on Sundays I never studied, those were my days.

I consider myself a successful college student, I had a great time (friends for life), great grades (magna cum laude) and I have a job in the field I studied for.
