Did you ever switch your major to English?

One week left and there will be a school year at a university under my belt.
I felt like I haven't learned anything while at the same time I feel like I learned so much.

I hope someone can understand that.

I got a month left until schools over :blessed:

This was supposed to be my graduation year, but I decided to go an additional year to receive a second degree.

On the flip side, I’m finishing my Finance degree this semester :blessed:

They didn’t say the journey to 6 figures was easy, but I’m getting one step closer :wow:

Good luck to everybody dealing with finals soon, and congrats to everyone graduating this year!

Did you ever switch your major to English?
Yeah. I switched to two concentrations for the english major. I am now going for creative and professional writing.
I'm glad I made the decision. There is some shyt I hate.. Like the professional writing side but that's there to support me.
And I realized I'm too likeable so they faculty tries to put so much pressure on me by trying to have me participate in everything.
I won a scholarship and was recommended to send my short stories to a literary magazine because they were so good.

Now I'm being offered some accelerated graduate program. I have to go talk with the professor this week.
Like I said, I keep getting offered shyt but I guess that's a major plus.
I have to work on a few things during the summer tho....

For example, grammar is a major topic I need improvement on. I'm good at writing but that doesn't mean I'm good at forming sentences lmao.
Another thing I have to work on is my speaking. All of these professors are always trying to talk to me or something important happens where I'm required to talk out of my comfort zone. I always feel like a let down after one of these interactions .. I want to come back to school next year with more confidence and being able to speak clearly.

There so much more but I feel like I need to work on during the summer but at the same time I'm enjoying the process. I guess that's just part of living.

I have my first job ever next year already in place with the school too.

Felt like I made moves.

Yeah I'm thinking about majoring in English too because I'm way better at writing than I am at math. What kind of jobs are you going to be looking for? Are you going straight into a graduate degree?

I'm just worried about finding a job if I do major in it.

I got a C in the class that I had the final for today :blessed:

I was sure that I was going to get a D in it :merchant:

There's only one more class that I'm worried about but I think i might make it. Every time I check my final grades online I'm looking like :lupe: seeing if it will pop up.
