APA is the best. Author last name and the year of publication. If you have Microsoft Word you can set it up to handle your citations for you. That's what I did for my undergrad thesis and only had to make minor corrections.

@m0rninggl0ry Appreciate the recommendation.

@ScholarD was up breh? What specifically are you looking for info on? I've applied to different grad programs so I can offer some advice if needed. Also, I have a grad degree too that I didn't pay for for the most part. Without knowing the program you're applying to, you're GPA, test score or target schools its hard to get specific. Gives us more info but I'll go boilerplate for now.

  • You may not be able to control your gpa at this point but you can control your standardized test score be it LSAT, GMAT, GRE, or MCAT so study hard and invest in tutoring if needed
  • Also control your timing - get apps in early
  • Get fee waivers this stuff is expensive
  • Look into minority prep programs that offer discount courses
  • Have your resumes, cover letters and essay read by multiple people
  • if there is a interview section practice in your head, in the mirror infront of people that will listen
  • Look for scholarship money this mess aint cheap breh.
  • Look up forums of students getting into the same program see what their numbers are and how you stack up and compare to the schools you're aspiring to get into
That's all I have now drop some specifics on us:
  • Start Date
  • Program
  • Test Score
  • GPA
  • Schools
  • Where you are in the process

Why are you nervous?

Stay ahead of the game, stay on top of the syllabus and you will be golden. Work smarter than your classmates and you got this.

Yes due to the fact I have been out of school for almost a decade...I'm hoping I get the whole APA format thing down, so yeah I'm nervous but looking forward to it. Some people I know have told me they found grad school easier than ugrad others have said it is significantly harder, and they were stressed the hell out. I don't expect grad school to be easy just getting nervous, it should calm once I start and get the first couple of papers out the way

Breh don't stress about APA, it's not difficult. Like I mentioned, Microsoft word will take care of the bulk for you. Focus on the content of your classes because formatting a paper is trivial.

Need everyone assistance:

I have a Dell Inspiron 14, that I have had for less than 2 yrs. I bought it knowing I wasn't going to put pics, movies, videos or anything like that, just simple browsing. It was less than $250. I start grad school next month, however; I cant put the newest Microsoftupdates because I need 8gb and only have 5 gb free space. So should I rock with it longer since I will only be using it to write papers (already have Microsoftoffice on it) or should I get a better laptop that has more than 32gb. I don't really want to get a new laptop because I need new tires, want to get a new phone, have books for grad school that I still need to get but I figured what's another $400? I've done all Ican to free up space and it doesn't give me an optionto use my portable drive for the Microsoft update

Prioritize your future, breh.

Also, run an application like 'windirstat' and see where your space is being taken. You can buy a replacement HDD for pretty much nothing if you really needed to.

I feel you that's why I said want a new cellphone, I have a 6p, I have no issue keeping it. I've uninstalled everything that I can the computer only came with 32gb, but windows took up like 17gb, because Google chrome, my antivirus, and Microsoft office, nothing else is on it. I thought buying the portable drive would solve the problem what a waste of a $50 gift card
