My plan right now is to major in Music Business and probably double minor in something business related (on one of the school's websites the choices are Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Management, Marketing, or Mass Communication (concentrations in Journalism, Media Management, or Public Relations) and african american studies. I want to minor in african american studies because it's really what i'm interested in but I don't know how it could help me career wise. Plus I don't want too much on my plate.
When you put it that way it sounds better. To maximize your business minor you should try to choose an area that they don't particularly focus on in Music Business. And since you said you'd minor in it, I don't dissuade you from AA Studies (I just reread your post and I realized I missed some info). What are you trying to do for a career?

Preferably A&R or really just anything on the business related side of the music business but specifically working with record labels and in the studio. I plan to take some courses in audio production so I could also have that as a side hustle or plan b if I needed.

Sounds good. I asked mainly to see if you had some sort of plan. More people than you would think show up to college in a major they know nothing about. 3 years later they realize they don't like it but it's too late to change. They never made even a cursory plan, so they're just stuck.

What's yall study tips?
Get away from people, they'll just distract you. Also figure out when you're the most productive (morning, afternoon, night) and study then. Take breaks and, in my personal opinion, don't pull all nighters because they really aren't worth it. That's about it :yeshrug:

I hit the "fukk it" point. If it's something I needed to learn I'm not going to do myself any favors staying up. If it's an assignment then I needed to get my shyt together earlier. I'd rather get the sleep.

I'm trying to make it out here man, taking the hardest CS class of my degree :mjcry:.
We almost done!

It depends on how you learn and what you are studying.
  • For Math, you have to keep doing problems and watch youtube videos , everything has rhythm.
  • For Sciences, you gotta split chapters into segments(if you can thru out the week) and reward yourself as you go.

What is the class about bro. I'm majoring in CS and would like a heads up in case I take something similar. I also second the math tips I basically got through Calculus 2 and 3 because of this guy on YouTube Professor Leonard.

System Programming (C programming/Elective), We are basically learning how linux commands work and using them to program. As for heads up, I don't know the program is for your Uni, Some programs put a greater emphasis of conceptual courses than others. However, i really recommend you learn a bit of C++ before you do any upper levels. It's

I'll gonna check that guy for Cal 3, It's been like 2 years since I've taken a Cal class,

What's yall study tips?
- DIET is key. Helps you focus, stay energized, etc etc.
- Sleep. No all nighters, and use this www.sleepyti.me
- start off slowly, dont just start studying 8hours the first day.
- Eat some immune boosting foods, before u try to study we gotta take care of shyt that can stop u from it aside from ur own laziness
- go ghost. Turn that cellphone off (or put it on do not disturb and only allow calls from certain people ie: family), and limit social activity
- Make a routine. Whether thats study 4hours and take a break for 3 and another 4, or if its 25mins and 5mins. Once u get the routine down it will be easy to expand ur stduy time
- try this How to Stop Procrastinating and Focus: A Guide to the Pomodoro Technique | College Info Geek
- during your small(5-30mins) breaks, try not to do something that passes the time easy. For example, I usually read a book or take a power nap. NEVER use ur phone/play games/browse internet. A good thing I do is make a playlist for 5-10min vides and 10-30min videos on youtube, then watch 1 of those depending on my break time
- Learn to power nap. IMO it is the best break cause it takes the strain off your eyes.
- Surround yourself with productive people that you dont know. IE: Go to the library by yourself.
- Learn what works for you. Music helps me with essays (wrote 100% papers listening to no ceilings :wow: ) but i need pure silence for math or reading

After u get ur studying down
- Reward yourself. I like buying shyt whenever I do good on a test/assignment/study for a good amount of time.
