Any of y’all actually subscribed to GQ? It’s ok but if you have zero fashion sense it’ll work for you I mainly like the photos barely read the articles

Not anymore.

This was the article that made me stop paying attention to them

What does this have to do with clothes?

This might be hating but I think the waxed trucker jacket is slowly becoming the new stereotype for basic bro clothing.

They do look good in a lot of outfits.

I just see them pushed so heavily by Huckberry and other companies. To the point that it's coming across like some kind of blue collar version of the "polo/shorts/boat shoes" look that preppy white boys wear.

I think it's just trending.
After a winter or two, it may be relegated back to niche status.:wow:

I'm not the dude in the picture , but I got both the jacket and the pants . I'll probably cop some cheap shirt and similar tie at Macys.

Any of y'all cop any new threads? I've been on the hunt. Got a nice quarter zip recently and an over shirt but man finding stuff you love is hard. Best to just wait until you get a "fukk yes" in what you want.

I saw a gorgeous suede trucker jacket at Todd Snyder while in atlanta. My girl liked it but the color wasn't versatile enough for me.

Also it's funny some of my stuff is tattered because my life is more active and I have no need to get super dressy. Plus when the pandemic happened I wasn't buying any clothes. Working from home has also put a damper on some of my wardrobe!

Still I got to add things in my collection slowly and not rush the process !

Definitely this. Me moving from DC to the Bay also didn’t help. SF and Californians are just so casual in their dressing.

My trip to London last month reminded me to step it up. It doesn’t take a lot of effort, just more intent. Men this side of the US really don’t care about how they look.

Still I got to add things in my collection slowly and not rush the process !

I’m donating of all my old clothes this week. I want to start 2025 with only the clothes I like and want to wear regularly.

If it’s ill fitting, worn out or I just don’t like it, it’s getting donated.

I’m only keeping clothes that I’ll fit into in the coming months (been dropping weight steadily in the past months).

Once I know what I have and what I need to buy, it’s all about putting my shopping into a process. In the same way I regularly invest a certain dollar amount every two weeks, it will be the same way with shopping. Every two weeks, buy $X amount of new clothes, shoes et al.

Slow and steady.

Recently ordered a sweater from Bosie:

The Blue Mogganer North Sea Chunky sweater.

Unfortunately some of the best colors were sold out in my size. I think the Pecan Brown and Loden Green are the best ones.
Anyway, the sweater is a pretty good fit. Not baggy around the sides and the length is fine. I'm 6'4 and the XXL fits snug but I wouldn't say it's tight. Depends on your build.

I think it's soft but I'm used to lambs wool. If you aren't you may find it a tiny bit itchy and maybe splurging for a nice cashmere sweater or sticking to cotton might be your best route. But if you wanted quality wool knitwear without spending up for the likes of Johnson of Elgin, or Lockie, then this is a good option.

Buck Mason has some rugged utilitarian stuff. I spent a little too much on a cashmere beanie today but it just FITS and I have a hard time finding a beanie that fits me in that style.
