What are some good styles for a short stocky dude ?

I usually rock T's and chucks but I'm trying to upgrade

Short and slim dudes as well. I want to be urban but at the same time not look like a high school kid. Someone told me once it's more about how you carry yourself than the clothes, but I have my doubts. Ppl going always judge you by your appearance. Note: Probably a more muscular built > "mature" dressing.
