Picked up the wife's Model X on Thursday.

I don't think there is an SUV even close to touching this thing man.

You walk up to the car and the fukking driver door opens for you, you get in and press the brake and it closes for you. Its wild.

325mi on a full charge

17 speaker audio

Autopilot is standard

Lifetime FREE supercharging

These crazy falcon doors turn heads everywhere you go

fukk the gas station, brehs. #teslagang
:wow: Drop a pic breh.

I want to pick up my mother a Model 3 or S, she doesn't like driving but needs to get around at times. I don't find it safe she is taking Uber's even if it is Uber black to get around with my nephew and niece.

Is the software safe enough for someone who wants to do 25% of the driving and can you limit it from high ways where she wouldn't want to drive on at all?

Which one would you give to someone in their 60's?

I got the model 3
- it has a lot of safety tech, but i dont think the autopilot software is ready to do majority of the driving:whoa:
- the autopilot is really good for long trips on the higway and stop and go traffic. It cant read signs or react to traffic lights. Yet

- honestly feel like a toyota or honda will have most of the basic safety features (automatic braking, lane keep assist,ect..)

Thank you so you won’t suggest it for grocery shopping and town to town driving? How is it with detecting trucks, we have many on main roads in my state.

I’m thinking about renting one for a week. Seeing if she can get accustom to relying on the system but still keeping her hand on the wheel and needing to brake if needed.

Or is it not ready to the point you wouldn’t give it to your own mother/grandmother?

It really depends how computer savy she is.
I feel like my dad would have no problem with it. But my mom barely knows how to use her cell phone:lolbron:
- the car is def great for letting u know what cars, are around u.
- its pretty good for driving around town. But wouldnt rely on the car doing more than 5-10% of the work. Where as on the highway it can do 70% of the work.

You can go on tesla.com and see what they will give you on trade. They give basically KBB blue book in good condition without even seeing or driving the car.

It's also important to note that you will pay in electricity about 1/4 what you pay in gas now (maybe less)

The long range model 3's are pretty quick without adding the performance option.

My wife's X is a 4.4sec 0-60 which is .1sec faster than the 2019 Dodge Scatpack. Yeah, you heard right. My wife's 7 seater SUV is faster than a V8 muscle car.
:wow:
