you had her in the 2nd picture like she was some type of donna. she really shouldn't be pictured at all, let alone the 2nd pic.

but I apologize for the Nintendo 64 comment tho. I never heard of it until around Christmas '97. I thought that was the launch. maybe it was the re-launch?

Her single "If Your Girl only knew" was a hit here in the UK and charted well in the Dance and R&B charts, her single got released a month before her album dropped in August. However, in 96 her album only went gold in the U.S. including other countries, One In A Million only started going platinum in 1997, nonetheless, people knew who she was internationally in 1996.

Aaliyah isn't worthy of being pictured at all. you could at least make a case for sneaking a pic in if this was '97......I mean, she was still a curtain-jerker in '97 too but I would play nice.
but '96??? she was just alright. that album didn't take off until "one in a million" the single hit at the very end of the year.

of course you knew people with the Aaliyah album. you were a kid and Aaliyah was for the kids......….and even in the youth lane, she was no title contender.

im not downplaying anything. I just don't like retrospective placements that weren't there in real-time.. same with all these mentions of outkast.
