I'm not a CM Punk hater, but I do got a question for the brehs. Can he ever be taken seriously again if he did return to pro wrestling? Sure he'd still be over af but tough talk would just go out the window.

Wreatling and MMA are 2 different things. Even Shinsuke Nakamura got fukked up in his fights. Barista didn't look very good in his fights either, neither did Alberto Del Rio. Maybe a few of them would be great MMA guys, Kurt, Bret, maybe Shelton, but even a Stone Cold would get them hands. Brock is decent, but that's only because of his size and back ground. If anything it does kind of prove that he can handle himself in a real fight. He has skills, but he's nothing compared to these guys who have been doing it for life. Plus this whole new generation is miles ahead of the fighters who came before. Way more multifacited and skilled in multiple styles. Punk could probably hold his own in 99% of real life fights. Being a pro fighter is some intense shyt. They should respect the fact he did it. Who care if he lost. Man took his shot at a dream. Not many people get those chances in life, he did it twice.

Post WWE, Punk's best bet was hitting the Indies and cashing out. People can say what they want about Cody but he's killing it right now. Tonight was a must win for Punk and he dropped the ball. No one is buying UFC ppvs for him after tonight and he burned bridges with WWE after that lawsuit. I never had a problem with Punk leaving WWE, I just didn't like the fact he always talked trash about the same fans who was paying for his merch and making him famous
Bischoff literally almost put the WWE out of business and he was welcomed.

Punk gotta give this MMA thing up. That dude Mike Jackson was a former reporter right? and he didn't even look like he gave a shyt while CM Punk was trying his heart out with those spin kicks. I don't want him to return to wrestling because he clearly doesn't want to but I hope he finds something new to keep himself busy instead of MMA. He fought and he knows his limits now. It's at the very bottom, I don't know if he goes to Bellator or some smaller place but I don't see him giving this up.

First, the kids that wrestling is real to dont watch UFC

Second, keep in mind Ronda is a fan favorite with WWE crowds after getting thrashed two times too.

So I personally dont need to see Punk because he’s just embarassed himself too much out of trying to prove he’s something that he’s not, but I believe he would still be a draw in wrestling and he’ll just paint this last fight as ‘going the distance’ in his second ever mma fight.
:manny:

Aside, if he had somehow miraculously won this fight I am certain he wouldve appeared at All In but now he most likely wont.
I think he was talking to Helwani when he hinted he might be open to a direct offer but he doesnt want to look past the fight.
