Like I said, Jake lives with him and there is that "threat of violence" that fathers evoke. Of course a true father would never hurt his son, but to actually see someone you respect as a "father figure" and someone who considers you their son to that to someone else is terrifying.

Also what the fukk was the dialogue about anyway "you are no george washington?" Ethel Washington (lol) is it some chicago politician we are suppose to know?
He was referring to Harold Washington, a Black mayor from the 80's. On a different note, as many ills that may plague the inner city community, I can't with this Keisha missing/kidnapped jive. I understand kids, especially females, go missing frequently. But they could miss me with this serial killer cac storyline :camby:

Regarding Jake, he might be a kid but he ain't stupid. He been around reggie enough to see some shyt (walking in on reggie about to shoot trice), and he also been around enough to know that pizza man ain't just pizza man (why would dooda or whatever his name is just pull up on reggie like that). It was completely out of his character to run
It wasn't. Knowing what people do, and seeing/knowing what people do are two different things. Take Wallace on "The Wire" he knew what was gonna happen to Brandon but seeing him laid out messed with his head. Also look at how Douda "deescalated" the sitution only to beat the shyt out of dude. That's generally not how violence occurs.

:patrice: nah i don't buy it. We were all kids before and im gonna just assume a lot of us grew up around some shyt as i did. I was at this very party when this happened https://www.news-daily.com/news/tee...cle_d1a460a8-0f49-5edb-ad08-2b465bde7d20.html

And i knew what it was before and what it was after. Nothing about me changed. The writing is unrealistic and that's just that

Dre (Kevin's masculine lesbian mom) is connected to the kidnapper and is a pimp which is why she has all that extra money she gives the kids. She came out of no where and we don't know her job. Not sure I buy it but people wonder if she can be trusted.

Also the kidnapper Omari was shown in other episodes.

"The character first appeared in episode 3 ‘Bussdown’ when Emmett gave him a flyer at the bus stop where Kiesha had gone missing.

Then in episode 4 ‘Gangway’, Omari made an appearance at Otis ‘Douda’ Perry’s pizza shop."
