It was always a flawed show but with most of the original cast from the 1st 3 seasons gone this show should have ended 2 seasons ago when homie left to become a pro gamer.
It took a cool turn in season 5 or 6, whichever one had the community come together to protect themselves then it spiraled waaaay out, I agree with you tho

Agreed, that ‘The Chi’ went through multiple changes over its run. I haven’t resumed watching the show since Lynn Whitfield joined the cast and, Papa’s pops got escorted to the upper room.
I will say Lena gave folks a heads up some years back about the series straying further and further away from Harlem, so to speak, so you cannot say that you were not warned
.When folks ask me if this series worth watching, I always tell them the first two seasons are solid, but weird in certain spots, but after those seasons, the series gets shaky and suspect in more ways than one
