Unfortunately, the information in this thread actually lends a little credibility to the countless claims by African Americans this past century that they have some form of Native American(specifically Cherokee), in their bloodlines.

Trust me, I'm sure the male Cherokees were raping Black women and getting them pregnant, same as the cac slave owners would do. And I'm sure a female squaw or three has snuck into the male slave quarters to get some Black D, and ended up pregnant.

The vast majority of slaveholders in Native nations were mixed-bloods of predominantly cac ancestry. Nonetheless, the institution should have never been adopted in Native nations. Native nations throughout the 1600s and 1700s were also victims of the slave trade, including the Cherokees themselves.

I will add to that because some tribes allowed Africans; Negros; Blacks to join them like the Seminoles in Florida. In fact, most of our "soul" food comes from some of the tribes like skillet cornbread.

No I'm from PA. And per the end of your post, this according to my parents. A lot of people try to make things up. I tend to believe anything is possible because the town I grew up in was a school used to assimilate natives. Its a weird burial ground. Its a story i believe but I can't say that I can totally verify it, to be 100.

You should start a family tree. I have a tree on my maternal and paternal side. I can go as far as 1827, both sides. I plant to do my genealogy. Im not sure if i should do the 23andME or... but start on your tree. Alot of the information is in the country records. Ask the elders for information. Go to your local library as well

Every marginalized group in the US claimed to be friends of black americans, Irish, Italians, Jews and when whites offered them the distinction of being called white they became the groups that terrorized and demonized black americans THE MOST.

These hispanics are no friends of blacks, they are just stuck at the bottom right now. You want to know what is going to happen to these "brown" allies you want, they are going to turn into Rubio and Cruz, gonna be regular ol Americans in 20 years and its already happening now.
